Luke Skywalker: “I’ll try…”
Yoda: “There is no try, do or do not!”
Dan believes there’s a magic to thinking and doing things BIG. A true “go blue” Michigan man. Dan grew up in the suburbs of south Detroit, and took the midnight train going everywhere! His curiosity, education, and many years of experience, combined with his knack for recognizing talent and effortlessly collaborating with passionate people, allow him to turn ideas into reality like an alchemist.
When he steps away from his desk (located inside any Starbucks, sushi bar, or golf cart), Dan loves living an active lifestyle, training at the gym, playing golf, tennis, and basketball.
Dan’s favorite quotes are: “Lead, follow, or get out of the way” from the mouth of Lee Iaccoca and “You can have a million excuses, or a million dollars, but you can’t have both!” by Anonymous, and lastly from Theodore Roosevelt’s Man in the Arena: “Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”
Dan believes the secret to living is giving and that selfless giving comes with a guaranteed ROI. One of his greatest joys is helping those around him attain higher levels of achievement than they ever thought possible. He is heavily involved with multiple charities, such as: Life Remodeled, Habitat for Humanity, Gleaners Food Pantry, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, ASPCA, Switchfoot BroAm Foundation and others.
A lesser known fact about Dan is that he was in two feature films and one TV show. Movies: the Ides of March, staring Ryan Gosling, and also staring and directed by George Clooney, and Lost River – directed by Ryan Gosling. TV: Low Winter Sun (directed by Ernest Dickerson and Sam Miller). Unfortunately, Dan has no plans to audition for a starring role at this time! 🙂
